nphase Energy's IQ8 Series Microinverters represent a groundbreaking advancement in the industry, being the first microgrid-forming, software-defined microinverters with split-phase power conversion capability. The IQ8X-80-M-US microinverters efficiently convert DC power to AC power, thanks to the proprietary application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) at their core. The IQ8X-80-M-US Microinverter is the latest addition to this family, designed to support PV modules with high output DC voltage and cell counts, such as 80-half-cut cells, 88-half-cut cells and 96-cells.This ASIC, built using advanced 55nm technology with high-speed digital logic, enables the microinverters to operate in grid-tied or off-grid modes, with super-fast response times to changing loads and grid events. This feature alleviates constraints on battery sizing for home energy systems. This microinverter also comes equipped with integrated MC4 DC connectors for an even quicker installation connection.
